Rossville will celebrate the end of summer this weekend with its annual Summer’s End Festival, bringing families, friends and visitors together for a weekend filled with community activities and entertainment.
Summer’s End Festival Parade
The Summer’s End Festival Parade will take place Saturday, August 22. Parade lineup begins at 9:00 a.m., with the parade kicking off at 10:00 a.m.

Golf Outing Benefiting Rossville Athletics
Golfers can also take part in the Rossville Athletic Department Golf Outing on Saturday, August 22, at Angel Hill Golf Course.
Registration will be held from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m., with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
The cost is $50 per person, which includes golf and lunch. Checks should be made payable to RCSD.
New participants will be accepted the morning of the event, although organizers prefer that golfers sign up in advance to help make registration run smoothly.
The golf outing offers participants a chance to enjoy a day on the course while helping support Rossville Athletics.
Annual Summer’s End Festival Car Show
The Annual Summer’s End Festival Car Show will also take place Saturday at Rossville Town Park. The event is hosted by the Lafayette Kroozers.
Registration for the car show will be held from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a $15 registration fee. Parking is first come, first served, and those wishing to park with friends must arrive together.
All cars must enter through Ramey Street. Organizers ask participants not to arrive before 7:00 a.m.
The car show will feature Top 75 Cars, Top 3 Motorcycles, Top 3 4×4 Trucks, dash plaques, food and craft vendors, door prize trivia, a DJ, trophies and fireworks at the park.
Judging will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with awards presented at approximately 3:00 p.m.
Awards include Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best 4×4, Longest Distance, Cop’s Choice and Best Rat Rod.
The Summer’s End Festival will also include live entertainment Friday and Saturday evening, a street fair, plenty of food, town-wide garage sales and fireworks.
All-day parking at the town park will be $5. Only service animals are allowed, and pedestrian traffic is permitted in the town park except for handicapped devices.
As Rossville’s motto says, “Rossville is a place where you feel at home.” Come home this weekend and enjoy all the excitement of the Summer’s End Festival.
