Radio Flyer to Perform at Benefit for Lennon Simpson

The Colfax community is coming together to support 7-year-old Lennon Simpson and his family following a serious golf cart accident on August 6 that left Lennon with multiple life-threatening injuries.

A benefit event is being planned for Saturday, September 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the lot across from Colfax Pizza King. The evening will bring the community together for music, food and fundraising to help the Simpson family with medical expenses.

Live music will be provided by Radio Flyer, who were originally scheduled to perform during the Friday night show at the Ole Hickory Days Festival. The band will now perform at the benefit as the community gathers to show its support for Lennon and his family.

Colfax Pizza King is also joining the effort by donating a percentage of its sales on September 19 to the Simpson family.

Organizers are planning a silent auction and are currently accepting donations of goods and services to be included in the auction.

Anyone who would like to donate or help with the event can contact Lacey from the Ole Hickory Days Committee. Her contact information is available on the Ole Hickory Days Facebook page.
