While the traveling trophy and Corn Bowl title stretch back only to 2021, the rivalry has stretched back decades.
Over the last 40 years, Clinton Prairie and Clinton Central have faced off 49 times, with the Bulldogs leading the series over that stretch 32-17.
Since 2019, however, the Gophers have owned the matchup, winning seven in a row.
For the first time in over 30 years, both teams are undefeated heading into the rivalry game.
Clinton Central snuck by Frankfort 12-6 in week one and found an offensive groove in week two against Faith Christian.
It took a come-from-behind effort from Clinton Prairie in week one to overcome Frontier 28-13; the Gophers’ defense shut down the Hot Dogs in week two en route to a 21-0 win.
The traveling trophy, created by Dan Davis in 2021, contains corn from both sides of Clinton County and is presented to the winner of the rivalry matchup each year.
