Tipton County Pork Festival Returns September 10-12

The Tipton County Pork Festival will return this week with three days of food, entertainment, contests, parades and family activities.

The festival opens Thursday, September 10, with the festival grounds opening at 11 a.m. The Pork Chop Tent and carnival open at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. Thursday evening activities include the Kick-Off Parade at 5:30 p.m., Princess Pageant at 6:30 p.m., Junior Queen Pageant at 7:30 p.m. and Queen Pageant at 8:30 p.m. The festival closes at 10 p.m.

On Friday, September 11, breakfast will be available at Elks Tent from 6:30 to 10 a.m., with vendors opening at 11 a.m. The Food Tent also opens at 11 a.m.

Friday evening entertainment includes Serenity Huffman at 6 p.m., Sarah Weddell and Abi Overdorf at 7 p.m., and Clayton Anderson at 8:30 p.m. A tribute to 9/11 will take place following the concerts. Friday’s activities conclude at 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 12, begins with breakfast at the Elks Tent from 8 to 11 a.m. Vendors and food tents open at 11 a.m., followed by the Baby Contest at 11 a.m. and Carnival at noon.

The Grand Parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. Evening entertainment includes Jake Wray and Jude Rockwell at 6 p.m., followed by the Fat Cadillac at 7 p.m. and Dirty Deeds AC/DC Tribute Band at 8:30 p.m.

Shuttles will run from the fairgrounds throughout the festival. The schedule notes shuttle service from the fairgrounds Thursday at 4 p.m., Friday from 4 to 11 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The festival schedule also includes a thank-you to military members, frontline workers and first responders.
