Construction Site Fatality Reported Near Lebanon

A 33-year-old Oklahoma man was killed Monday evening after being struck by a pickup truck at a construction site near Lebanon.

The Lebanon Police Department reports that officers, firefighters and medics were dispatched at approximately 5:43 p.m. Sept. 14 to a construction site in the area of 400 W and State Road 32 following a report of a male struck by a pickup truck.

Dispatchers advised that life-saving measures had already been initiated by on-site medical personnel. Emergency personnel continued those efforts after arriving, but they were unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Due to the severity of the crash and the injuries involved, a specialized CRASH unit was requested to investigate. The incident remains under investigation.

The deceased was identified as Christopher Lawe, 33, of Oklahoma.

Assisting agencies included the Lebanon Fire Department, Whitestown Police Department, Boone County Coroner’s Office and Zore’s Towing.
