Roscommon Pub & Grub to Close Tomorrow After 10 Years in Frankfort

Roscommon Pub & Grub in Frankfort will close its doors for good following 10 years in business. The restaurant’s final night will be Friday, September 18.

In a message to customers, the owners said the decision comes as their children grow older and their family needs more of their time.

The Lenehan family has a long history in the local restaurant and bar business. The owners noted that the family has been involved in the business for more than 50 years, beginning when their father, Joe Lenehan, opened his first bar in Frankfort in 1974.

Roscommon Pub & Grub was the family’s third business venture, following The Score Board Sports Bar and Lenehan’s Pub in Lafayette.

The owners thanked their customers, employees, musicians, landlord and community members for their support and memories over the past decade.

The restaurant will spend its final week moving remaining inventory and preparing for its last night.

“We’ll cherish these last 10 years for a lifetime,” the owners said. “Cheers!”
