Metamorphosis: Frankfort Library to Host 45th Annual Art Exhibition and Sale

The Friends of the Frankfort Public Library will host “Metamorphosis,” the 45th Annual Art Exhibition and Sale, Nov. 13-14 at the Frankfort Public Library.

The event will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14.

More than 80 Indiana artists will participate, including 30 new to the show. Artwork for sale will include ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, paintings, glass and more. Opening night will feature live music, while Wendi Hall will provide drawing demonstrations throughout the weekend.

The event will be open to everyone from the start this year, with sponsors helping fund the exhibition in place of art show patrons. Opening-night refreshments will be served in the lower-level meeting room from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and may be enjoyed in Harry’s Coffee Bar.

Artists working in three-dimensional mediums will handle sales at their own tables. The Friends will continue managing sales of two-dimensional artwork displayed on gallery walls and in browse bins.

The annual exhibition and sale is the Friends’ largest fundraiser, supporting the library’s arts and children’s programming. The event relies on support from volunteers, sponsors, artists and the community.
