Kerry Wayne Harshbarger

Kerry Wayne Harshbarger, 61, of Frankfort, passed away surrounded by love on November 1, 2026. He was born on August 15, 1965, to Robert and Fay (Lucas) Harshbarger. Kerry married the love of his life, Janet, on August 3, 1985. Together, they celebrated 41 years of marriage and welcomed two beloved children.

Kerry attended Frankfort Schools before going on to work at the Frankfort Police Department, and eventually working as a mechanic for John Deere. He loved fishing, watching racing, and spending time with his family; especially his four grandchildren. Kerry loved his wife immensely, and loved to tease her with his dry sense of humor and take her on adventures. Just last year, Kerry took Janet ghost hunting at the Rockville State Sanitorium, and skydiving before that. He was a wonderful father and provider.

In addition to his parents, Kerry is preceded in passing by his brother, Randy; sister, Cathy; and best friend (and cat,) Sid.

Kerry is survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters; Danielle (Heath) Keefer and Holly (Jay Cropper) Chilcott; grandchildren: Jasmine, Mackenzie, Payton, and Brayden; brother: Brian (Kristi) Harshbarger; nieces and nephews: Chad, Jessica, Chasity, and Ché; and beloved cats: Sophie, Sawyer, Sammi, and Sadie.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Kerry on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 4-6pm at Day and Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Messages of condolences and memories of Kerry can be shared at www.dayandgenda.com.
