At 6:40 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 2250 W SR 32 involving two vehicles. A 2007 white Ford Focus driven by Lance Michael Oldham, 18, passenger Alissa Melton 17, passenger Sydney R. Foster 18, were traveling eastbound on SR 32 to J. Everitt Light Vocational School, Indianapolis, to attend classes. All students attend Western Boone Jr./Sr. High School.
For unknown reasons a 2003 gray Acura driven by Lichin Liu in the westbound lane crossed over into east bound lane and struck the Ford Focus head on. Foster was later pronounced deceased at Methodist Hospital. Melton was transported for treatment of broken bones; Oldham andLiu were also transported for medical treatment.
Accident is still under investigation by the Boone County F.A.C.T team. Drugs or alcohol is not believed to be involved at this time.
