A severe accident early this morning has caused the closing of a portion of Interstate 65 in Clinton County. Interstate 65 southbound lanes are closed from state road 28 to state road 47 and the northbound lanes are closed near the 156-mile marker. Traffic is being diverted to State Road 28 then to US 52 or State Road 39 to State Road 47. Authorities are asking motorist to please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. We will update as soon as we are notified
the interstate is reopened.
