North Montgomery jumped out to a 13-point lead after one quarter en route to a 51-34 Sagamore Conference victory over Frankfort in girls’ basketball action Tuesday night at Case Arena.
The Hot Dogs, 0-5, shot just 7 of 27 from the field, including 1 of 11 from three-point range. Jessie Ramos and Jordan Frazier led FHS with eight points each.
The junior varsity fell to 1-4 with a loss to North Montgomery Tuesday. Kurim Quinones led Frankfort with a season-high 15 points.
Friday night at Case Arena, Frankfort fell to Western 71-37. Liz Sandoval led the Hot Dogs with 14 points and Ingrid Valdes played her best defensive basketball season with multiple block outs and rebounds.
Rossville Falls to Delphi
Delphi outscored Rossville 10-4 in the fourth quarter for a 37-36 victory over the Hornets Friday night in Rossville.
Trailing 9-8 after one quarter, Rossville outscored Delphi 25-18 in the middle two quarters to take a 31-27 lead into the fourth quarter.
Madison Miller led Rossville with nine points. Michelle Rodkey added eight points, while Jayla Rosen and Sammie Malson each scored six points. Rodkey led the team in rebounds with eight. Miller and Emma Lawson each had six boards. Miller and Rodkey each had a team-high three steals. Malson led in assists with three.
Frankfort Bowling
The Frankfort girls’ bowling team just finished its fifth week and are 4-1 and in second place. On Sunday, the girls bowled in Crawfordsville and the the top bowlers were Hanna Anderson 155-153 and Klarissa Pitman 147. The team consists of four girls and they are looking for a fifth.
Besides Anderson and Pitman, other team members are Leigha Shatzer and Taylor Morgan.
