Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy, Suspect Shot in Lebanon

An attempt to serve a search warrant this morning led to a high speed chase and a Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy being shot. That deputy is reportedly in critical condition at this time.

According to Indiana State Police, one suspect took off in a car and was taken into custody on I-65 near State Road 32. Another suspect, John Baldwin Sr., was located later. A total of three suspects are in custody at this time.

Superintendent Robert Taylor with the Lebanon Community School Corporation says all schools and support facilities are currently on lock down and will remain so until they hear otherwise from police. All Boone County government offices are closed for the day.
