Boy Scout Luncheon Celebrates Scouting Values

Super Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes and about 75 community leaders and youth celebrated the values and life changing aspects of the Boy Scouts of America program in Clinton County at the Annual Luncheon for Scouting at St. Matthew United Methodist Church.  On a “Super Heroes” theme, McBarnes spotlighted the efforts of volunteers, area youth, veterans and businesses who help shape the futures of Clinton County Youth through Service and the Scouting Program.

Chris McBarnes interviewed an Arrow of Light Cub Scout on the stage and introduced Eagle Scout John Dunn from Troop 338. Dunn gave a talk on the ways Scouting prepared him and others for the years ahead.

Last year over $6,000 was raised at the Mayor’s Luncheon to help support the Scouting Program in the area.
