Burglary Suspect Arrested by Zionsville Police Department

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Zionsville Police were dispatched to a burglary/theft in progress at 6771 Berkley Court. The vehicle involved in the theft was reported to be a yellow Hummer with a trailer attached. Zionsville Police arrived on scene and observed the Hummer was no longer at the residence. Shortly thereafter, a Zionsville Police Officer reported having seen a similar vehicle on the side of the road at Kissel Road and Lafayette Road. Other Zionsville Police officers proceeded to the Lafayette Road area and eventually observed a yellow Hummer with mud on it heading eastbound pulling a black trailer loaded with construction material. Zionsville Police then initiated a traffic stop on the yellow Hummer.
Zionsville Police confirmed that the trailer was stolen. The driver, later identified as Victor Sanchez (38) of Indianapolis, was confirmed as never having held a driver’s license. Victims from the residence on Berkley Court arrived on scene to identify all the items taken from Berkley Court. Zionsville Police later confirmed that a door had been kicked in and damaged at the residence on Berkley Court. Victor Sanchez was taken into custody and transported to the Boone County Jail without incident.
The Hummer was towed to the Zionsville Police Department. The Trailer was stored at Zionsville towing pending pick up by its rightful owner. Officers submitted the charges of Burglary, Theft, Auto Theft, Residential Entry, Criminal Mischief, and Operating having never received a license, Improper Display of License Plate, and False and Fictitious Registration against Victor Sanchez. The Boone County Prosecutors Office will review charges.
