Cathy Lee Stevens, 75, of Frankfort, passed away at her residence, Friday, January 10, 2020. She was born December 3, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas and Joy (Fletcher) Crouch. Her mother, Joy, later married John Shanks, who adopted Cathy when she was five years old. She was a 1963 graduate of Frankfort High School. She married Michael Stevens on June 11, 1966; he survives.
Cathy worked as an administrative assistant at the county extension office for 18 years. She also worked for Preston Trucking and DeFord’s. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 48 years, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Red Hat Society Golden Ladies of Frankfort. She enjoyed volunteering at the library and sewing.
Along with her husband, Cathy is survived by her sons, Michael Paul Stevens II of Goldsmith and Allan Stevens of Frankfort; brothers, Robin Lynn (Sheila) Shanks and John Anthony Shanks; sisters Emma (Bill) St. Dennis and Cheryl Ann Price; grandchildren, Keisha Lee, McCauley, Devin, Christian, and Haleigh; and great grandchildren, Ava, Landon, and Isabelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 1 pm until the time of the service at 3 pm at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Russ Alley will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Forest.
