Clinton Central Boys Basketball Season Starts With A Loss To Hamilton Heights

(1A) Clinton Central’s first game of the season resulted in a loss to (3A) Hamilton Heights by the score 71-45.

Bulldog’s looked good coming out but ran into problems with the speed and height of the Hamilton Heights Huskies. Karl Kercheval said after the game “Remember they are a 3A school and we will get there”.

The Lady Bulldogs Coach Don Helmick was recognized between games and given gifts from the girls for his 250th career win. The girls next game is Dec 2 at Culver Academy. The lady Bulldogs are 6-1.

Scoring for the Bulldogs Creed Mennen 13 points, Luke Davison 9, Cole Davison, 7, Max Adair 6, Amrin Barrett 5, Lane Davis 3, and Nate Wells added 2 points.

Top scorer for Hamilton Heights with 25 points was Tillman Etchison and was the only player in double figures for the Huskies.

The Bulldogs JV team also lost the Hamilton Heights by the score of 60-23.

Scoring for the Bulldogs were Keaton Albaugh and Klayton Stevens each with 8 points, Luke Shelley 4, and Kyson Albaugh adding 3.

The Bulldogs are in action again on December 1, against 1A Fountain Central at home.
