Clinton County Area Board of Zoning Appeals to Consider Five Petitions October 27

The Clinton County Area Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. in the County Meeting Room at the Clinton County Annex Building, 2 E. Washington St., Suite 105, Frankfort.

The meeting will include public hearings on five petitions:

  • Marla Caldwell – 9024 E. State Road 26, Forest: Requests a Special Exception to operate a Home Occupation Class 2 in the A-1, Agricultural, Zoning District. (Application #CC-2026-00910; Docket #39-26-SE)
  • Doyle and Sonia Henry – 8878 N. State Road 29, Frankfort: Request a Special Exception to construct an accessory apartment in an accessory structure in the R-1/A-1, Rural Residential/Agricultural, Zoning District. (Application #CC-2026-00914; Docket #40-26-SE)
  • Purdy Concrete, Inc. – 9100 block of N. County Road 330 W, Rossville: Requests a Special Exception to operate a ready-mix concrete plant in the I-2, General Industrial, Zoning District. A 19-day filing deadline waiver is noted. (Application #CC-2026-00927; Docket #41-26-SE)
  • Antony and Nicole Ricks – 316 E. Jackson St., Mulberry: Request a Special Exception to renovate an existing detached garage for use as an accessory apartment in the R-3, Medium Density Residential, Zoning District. A 19-day filing deadline waiver is noted. (Application #CC-2026-00930; Docket #42-26-SE)
  • Stephen Dunnuck – 6724 N. State Road 75, Frankfort: Requests a variance allowing a replacement dwelling to be rebuilt within the same footprint if the existing legal nonconforming dwelling is destroyed by a natural disaster. The replacement would be no closer than 26 feet from a front property line, rather than the required 50 feet, in the A-1, Agricultural, Zoning District. The agenda also includes approval of minutes, old and new business, and adjournment. The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 24.

Clinton County will provide appropriate aids and services for qualified individuals with disabilities with 48 hours’ notice. Materials, papers or photographs submitted as evidence become part of the official record and must remain in the Area Plan Commission’s files.
