Clinton County Under Flash Flood Watch Until 11 A.M. Sunday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flash Flood Watch for most of Indiana, including Clinton County, until 11 a.m. Sunday morning.

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected Saturday morning through tonight with heavy rain possible over the same areas. Rainfall amount of 2 to 4 inches may be possible in the most persistent thunderstorm activity, with locally higher amounts possible.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
