Clinton County Under Wind Advisory for Thursday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Advisory for Clinton County, which is in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday. Peak wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph are expected.

Broken limbs and a few downed trees, which may bring down power lines and cause scattered power outages. High profile vehicles may find travel difficult, especially on east to west oriented roadways.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren counties.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or wind gusts of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
