Fairgrounds Historical Society to hold Open House During Clinton County Fair

In this 1974 photo taken by Mary Patchett of the Frankfort Times, Lisa Anderson Glunt models her coatdress in green with white and green dotted collar and cuffs. The dress will be on display at this year’s Clinton County & 4-H Fair.

The Clinton County Fairgrounds Historical Society will hold an Open House so those attending the Clinton County Fair can view the inside of the Administration Building and learn plans the organization has for the building.  The building, built in 1909, sets at the northwest entrance to the fairgrounds, 1701 South Jackson Street, Frankfort, Indiana.

Not only will visitors be able to see the interior of the structure, they will be able to view a dress constructed in 1974 by Lisa Anderson Glunt of rural Kirklin.  Lisa received the Grand Champion Award in Dress Review that year with this dress.  She is a second generation, 10-year, 4-H member.

The Open House will be held Sunday, July 9 through Saturday, July 15, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each evening.
