Frankfort Hammers North Montgomery in Softball

Zoey Westerman, Kylie Wainscott, Karim Quinones and Katie Roberts all had three hits apiece as Frankfort rolled past North Montgomery 18-1 in softball action Tuesday in Crawfordsville.

Kiyomi Perkins and Makayla Harper had a pair of hits, while Autumn Bower, Maddy Cook and Tarah Martinez each had a hit for FHS. Westerman added three stolen bases. Harper got the victory for Frankfort, going five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven.

FHS Boys’ Track Competes at Noblesville

Frankfort participated in the Miller Invitational Tuesday at Noblesville. Several FHS participants set new personal records including Angel Perez and Daniel Pritchett in the 1600, Jordan Henderson in the 400 and long jump, Garek Birge in the 200, Josue Bautista Ventura and Marco Reyes in the 3200, Jakob Burns in the discus and shot put, and Kyle Earl in the shot put.

Earl had the best finishes for FHS as he took fourth in the discus and sixth in the shot put.

On Saturday, Frankfort finished fifth on the boys’ side, while the girls took third at Charger Relays in Noblesville.

Top finishers for Frankfort on the girls’ side included Maicee Stirrett (third in the 100 hurdles, fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200), Mia Hernandez (third in the pole vault and fifth in the 100 hurdles), Peyton Myers (fifth in the 100 and sixth in the high jump), Carina Alanis (fourth in the 800 and fifth in the 1600) and Alexis Reed-Gill (fourth in the 300 hurdles).

On the boys’ side, top finishes included Angel Perez (1st in the 800), Sam Michael (third in the 100), Bautista Ventura (third in the 1600), Earl (fourth in the discus and fifth in the shot put), Chase Gay (fourth in the high jump), Andric Mullinax (fourth in the 200), Michael Hernandez (fourth in the 300 hurdles), Edwin Wainscott (fourth in the pole vault), Pritchett (fifth in the 3200), Ivan Salazar (fifth in the 800), Tyler Harness (sixth in the 110 hurdles) and Mauro Lopez-Carrillo (sixth in the 400).

Frankfort’s 4×400 relay team of Hernandez, Perez, Jacob Craig and Lopez-Carrillo took second.

FHS Golfers Fall to Tipton

Led by medalist Gavin Hares’ 36, Tipton defeated Frankfort 151-198 at a very windy golf course in Tipton Tuesday. Reece Mitchell led Frankfort with a 43, followed by Ramsey Mitchell 50, Dakota Bailey 52 and Trevor Meeks 53.

On Saturday, the Dogs finished seventh at the South Montgomery Invitational in Crawfordsville. Reece Mitchell led FHS with a 92, followed by Bailey 97, Ramsey Mitchell 100 and Mason O’Brien 108. Host South Montgomery won the team title.

Girls’ Tennis Lose to Lafayette Jefferson

Frankfort’s Libby Pierce defeated Ashley Casey of Lafayette Jefferson 6-3, 6-4, for Frankfort’s only point in a 4-1 loss to Lafayette Jefferson Tuesday.

On Monday, Frankfort lost 5-0 to Western Boone. On Friday, Frankfort fell to Carroll 3-2. Frankfort’s Ariana Regalado defeated Emily Johnson 6-1, 3-6, 6-4, while the doubles team of Libby Pierce and Maria Guijosa was victorious Laney Johnson and Kaitlyn Payier 6-4, 7-6.
