Habitat for Humanity Taking Pre-Applications for One Home

Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County, Inc. is taking pre-applications for one home. In order to be a Habitat Partner Family, one must have been a Clinton County resident for the previous 12 months. One must have the income to repay a non-interest bearing mortgage with money left to pay monthly expenses. In addition, a family member must be willing and able to work 250 sweat equity hours on his/her own home or other assigned projects. If there are two or more family members who are 18 or older, 500 sweat equity hours must be worked prior to the home being occupied.

A credit check will be run on everyone in the household who is 18 or older. The Family Selection Committee will review all pre-applications to determine if they qualify. If so, an application will be given to all interested families. If the completed application appears to qualify, two home visits will take place with Family Selection members. If the family is eligible, the application will be presented to the Habitat Board for approval.

If you are interested in becoming a Habitat Partner Family, please call 765-242-6877 or 765-659-5178 for pre-application.
