IU Arnett Hospital Awarded Gold Seal Accreditation from the Joint Commission

IU Health Arnett Hospital has once again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® in recognition of the hospital’s commitment to providing safe and high-quality patient care.

Gold Seal accreditation is internationally recognized as the gold standard in hospital accreditation.

Arnett Hospital underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review in April 2023, during which a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated the hospital’s compliance with critical standards that spanned emergency management and infection prevention to patient safety and hospital leadership. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance.

The hospital has been continuously accredited since it opened in October 2008.

“Arnett Hospital’s continued Gold Seal accreditation is a testament to our team’s commitment to providing the best care to our community,” says Christopher Mansfield, MD, IU Health Arnett chief medical officer. “This accreditation represents consistently excellent health care delivered at the highest level of medical and safety standards, and our community should accept nothing less.”

This accreditation is valid until April 2026.
