Library Concert Series Presents: Michael Kelsey

 The Frankfort Community Public Library

The Frankfort Community Public Library is proud to welcome Michael Kelsey to our Skanta Theatre stage on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Kelsey is a rhythmic, inspired guitarist and performance artist who blends multiple music genres and vocals along with some techno fun. He began his musical journey weaving in and out of successful area bands as lead guitarist or bassist. After running a successful recording studio for five years, Kelsey embarked on his career as a solo artist. He is the winner of Guitar Center’s “Guitarmageddon,” and he was also chosen from among 3,000 entrants to perform at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads 2004, where he shared the stage with many legendary guitarists.

Throughout his performances, Kelsey makes use of technology, improv skills, objects in the room, and audience interaction to make music that delights all the senses. He is well versed in the art of entertaining, creating a rare army of sound that comes from one man, his voice, and an acoustic guitar.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the library’s circulation desk, by calling (765) 654-8746, or at the door the night of the concert. For more information, contact Lori Brubaker at lorib@myfcpl.org or (765) 654-8746, ext. 1141.
