Man Seriously Injured in Fight in Mulberry

At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Clinton County Central Dispatch received a 911 call from the Southfork Restaurant & Pub. It was reported a man struck another man.

Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene, along with Clinton County EMS. Once on the scene, first responders found Carl Boldenow, 32, of Mulberry, on the ground with an injury to his head. He was transported to a Lafayette hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office were called to assist in the investigation at the scene, the hospital, and the home of the suspect’s friend. From information gathered at the scene (from witnesses), investigators were able to determine Alexzander Dutten, 22, of Lafayette, was a suspect in this case. Officers were quickly able to locate and apprehend Dutten, at a nearby (friend’s) residence.

Dutten was charged with Battery, Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, a Level 5 Felony in the State of Indiana. Boldenow is in critical, but stable condition at this time. The investigation is active; therefore no further information will be made available at this time.
