National Weather Service Issues Special Weather Statement

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Special Weather Statement for central and west central Indiana, including Clinton County.

Slick sports are possible Wednesday morning. While isolated snow showers and flurries will diminish this morning, slick spots will continue from earlier snow and the refreezing of water from earlier rains. Motorists should exercise caution while driving, and be alert for slick spots on roads.

Gusty winds will continue during the day Wednesday. Flooding will continue along some area rivers. Wind gusts will be in the 35 to 40 mph range with highest wind gusts this morning.

High pressure will gradually build into the area today, allowing winds to diminish. More light snow is possible Friday afternoon and night, Saturday night and Sunday and again Tuesday. These could result in slick spots on roads. Flooding will continue along some area rivers. Several systems will move through the area late this week and into early next week.
