Joe Bookwalter welcomed friends and family to Slabby’s Food and Freedom Restaurant Saturday evening to celebrate the upcoming opening of Slabby’s. The new restaurant located on North Main Street in Frankfort will feature smokehouse fare served Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Joe Bookwalter is General Manager of Jimmy John’s Sandwiches on Frankfort’s west side. Joe and wife Valerie were on hand with Parents, neighbors and friends to sample brisket, chicken, potato salad, beans, pickled onions and other smokehouse offerings that will be offered at the restaurant located just north of the tracks on Main Street.
Slabby’s will open Thursday for lunch on January 9th.
