Star Meyer to Lead IU Health Arnett and White Memorial Outpatient Practices

STAR MEYER

Star Meyer, JD, BSN, RN, has been named chief practice officer (CPO) for the West Central Region of Indiana University Health.

In this role, Meyer will lead the IU Health Arnett, Frankfort and White Memorial outpatient practices, with a goal of supporting and enhancing physician services and patient care.

“The CPO role is important because it provides focused, values-based support and leadership for our outpatient practices,” shares Meyer on her new role. “IU Health has a unique opportunity to coordinate the care of our patients across the continuum. As we work toward delivering on our mission of making Indiana one the healthiest states, the CPO plays an important part in ensuring that our growing community has access to the quality care that our highly skilled clinicians provide.”

For the past 16 years, Meyer has served in progressively advancing clinical leadership positions within the West Central Region of IU Health. She began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse, holding positions in both hospital-based and outpatient settings. Most recently, she has served as chief operating officer and chief nursing officer for IU Health Frankfort Hospital.

Meyer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Joseph’s College. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Indiana Health Law Review.

Meyer is a native of Rensselaer. She and her husband Tom Meyer, MD, infectious disease physician at Arnett Hospital, are parents to seven children and have three grandchildren.
