Ten Individuals Have Filed for County Elections

Clinton County Surveyor Dan Sheets, middle, has filed to run for his third term as the surveyor. He has served in that position for nine years. On the left is Office Administrator Maggie Dale and the on the right is First Deputy Zack Light.

As of 1 p.m. Thursday, a total of 10 individuals have filed paperwork for their candidacy into the upcoming county elections later this year.

Three individuals have filed for the Clinton County Council. They are incumbents Jeff Chynoweth and Mike Hensley along with newcomer Frankie Crew.

Newcomers Josh Lee and Ed Cripe have filed for Clinton County Coroner and incumbent Steve Woods has filed for Clinton County Commissioners District 1.

Others who have filed to run are Carol Bartley (Clinton County Treasurer), Beth Keeney (Clinton County Recorder), Justin Hunter (Superior Court Judge) and Dan Sheets (Clinton County Surveyor). All are incumbents.

Individuals have until noon on Friday, February 7, to file paperwork for the county elections.
