The Town of Rossville has announced its receipt of $600,000 in grant funding for three separate projects expected to aid with improving roads, playground equipment and sidewalks.
The Town announced its receipt of $389,607 from the Indiana Department of Transportation Community Crossings Matching Grant program for paving projects on Otten Road, Delphi Road and West South Street. The program has aided with funding more than $1.8 million in road projects in the town since 2016.
The Town also announced its receipt of $55,000 in funding from the Community Foundation of Clinton County for “inclusive” playground equipment to be installed in the park. The town will also contribute another $15,000 of local funds to complete the project. The Town further stated that it received a small grant from the foundation earlier this year for $3,700 that was utilized toward a safety fence for the park playground.
The Town lastly announced its receipt of a $167,400 grant from the Indiana Department of Transportation Highway Safety Improvement Program, which is a new grant for 2024, for lighted crosswalk warning signs at State Road 26 and Gaddis Street, LED lighted stop signs and feedback speed limit signs.
