Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotics Arrest in Frankfort

A traffic stop for an equipment violation early Thursday morning lead to an individual from Connersville being arrested.

Deputy Yoder with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, noticed a vehicle traveling with no tail lights on at 5:16 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Washington Streets.  Deputy Yoder made a traffic stop, and upon speaking to the driver, could smell a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. Frankfort Police arrived and assisted on the investigation. Over 160 grams of suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle along with a syringe, and scales.

The driver, identified as Isaiah Selby from Connersville was arrested for possession of marijuana, dealing marijuana, and possession of a syringe.  He was transported to the Clinton County Jail.

This case will be reviewed by the Clinton County Prosecutors office for formal charges.
