U.S. 31 Construction Will Use Crossover to Divert Traffic

The Indiana Department of Transportation will be diverting traffic to the southbound lanes of U.S. 31 between IN 931 and IN 18.

INDOT constructed a crossover in the SB lanes of U.S. 31. All traffic will use SB lanes while work is being done in NB lanes in the area.

NB lanes will be fully shut down, but traffic will be able to move in one lane in both directions in the SB lanes.

Crews will be repaving, patching and constructing a new Deer Creek bridge during the crossover.

Traffic will be diverted to SB lanes from tonight, June 4 through the middle of August.

After NB work is completed, traffic will be diverted to NB lanes and the SB lanes will be shut down to complete construction work from the end of August through the end of October.

See map below for full scope of work.
