The Utility Service Board unanimously approved its portion of the proposed new IU Health Hospital Monday night.
USB Chairman Mike Kelley said this approval will take care of the relocation, abandonment and construction of infrastructure needs such as sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer, electric and fiber for the new hospital.
Kelley said the estimated cost of this portion of the project is $125,000 to $130,000.
The new hospital is scheduled to be open in 2021.
