Waltraud Pauline “Wally” McCormick, 89, Frankfort, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Wesley Manor. She was born on February 10, 1932, in Kronberg I/T, Germany. She married John A. “Jack” McCormick on March 6, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2020.
Wally was a wonderful cook, hostess and enjoyed having dinner parties. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, loved to play Mahjong and was a member of P.E.O. for many years. Wally and Jack had lived in South America from 1958-1976 and New Orleans, Louisiana from 1976-1989. She had most recently been living in Pensacola, Florida until moving to Frankfort in 2017.
Wally is survived by her son, Sean McCormick; grandchildren, Megan McCormick Encalade and Chelsea (Jacob) Ehrlicher; great grandchildren, Cambre, Kinsley, Thomas John “TJ”, and Bailey.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lina and Peter Gottschalk and her father who died in World War II.
A virtual memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Noon for Wally and Jack and will be available to be viewed at www.gendafuneralhome.com.
