On March 26, officers from the Kokomo Police Department responded to Community Howard Regional Health, 3500 South Lafountain Street, in reference to a report of a suspected child abuse\/neglect.\u00a0 A 2-month-old baby was brought into the hospital and was diagnosed with a skull fracture and broken\/fractured ribs.\u00a0 The baby was later transported to Riley Hospital where additional injuries were detected, including fractures to each of the baby\u2019s limbs.<\/p>\n
During the course of the investigation, investigators identified the suspect as the baby\u2019s father, Chase A. Williams, age 20 of Kokomo. Williams was arrested without incident on March 29.<\/p>\n
Williams was charged with Aggravated Battery, Level 3 Felony, Domestic Battery on a Child Less Than 14 with Serious Bodily Injury,\u00a0 Level 3 Felony, and Invasion of Privacy, A-Misdemeanor.\u00a0 Willaims is currently incarcerated at the Howard County Criminal Justice Center.<\/p>\n
