$\"\"$ Artistic Director Michael J Taylor Thursday announced the line-up for the 2021 season at the Red Barn Summer Theatre.\u00a0 The three shows will be \u201cWho\u2019s in Bed with The Butler?\u201d,<\/em> Neil Simon\u2019s \u201cThe Odd Couple<\/em>,\u201d and the musical comedy, \u201cThe Marvelous Wonderettes<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cButler<\/em>\u201d will open the season on June 9, followed by \u201cThe Odd Couple<\/em>\u201d on June 23.\u00a0 \u201cWonderettes<\/em>\u201d will open on July 8 and close out the season on July 18.\u00a0 The curtain will rise on all Wednesday through Saturday evening performances at 7:30 p.m., while Sunday and any additional matinees start at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

Community Outreach Manager Bethany Sheets, says \u201cDue to socially distanced seating this year we are only admitting 85 people to attend each show; so, patrons should order their tickets as soon as they receive their ticket brochure.\u00a0 The brochure will be mailed later this month. Tickets will be available on the website May 1\u00a0(boxofficeredbarn@gmail.com).\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho\u2019s in Bed with The Butler<\/em>\u201d by Michael Parker is a madcap farce that is not nearly as salacious as the title would imply.\u00a0 When a billionaire passes away, his only child assumes she will inherit his estate.\u00a0 When she arrives to claim her father\u2019s mansion and fortune, she finds out otherwise\u2014and the eccentric butler seems to be at the center of this screwball mystery.<\/p>\n

The second show of the season is the classic comedy \u201cThe Odd Couple<\/em>\u201d by the legendary Neil Simon.\u00a0 From Broadway success to movies and television shows Simon\u2019s bickering roommates have entertained audiences for decade after decade.<\/p>\n

The Off-Broadway hit musical comedy \u201cThe Marvelous Wonderettes<\/em>\u201d will close out the 2021 season.\u00a0 The four-woman show is packed with humor and song as Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy entertain classmates at the 1958 Prom.\u00a0 This charming musical will delight audiences of all ages with renditions of \u201cStupid Cupid,\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s My Party,\u201d and many, many more nostalgic hits.<\/p>\n

Director Taylor says \u201cAfter the past year of solitude, distance and stress I think people are ready to come out to the Barn where they can safely socialize while enjoying three plays that will keep everyone laughing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Red Barn Summer Theatre is located at 2120 East County Road, 150 South in Frankfort, Indiana.\u00a0 The theatre was founded by Martin and Carol Ann Henderson in 1968.\u00a0 Theatre operations were moved to the Joe and Erma Maish farm in the summer of 1972.<\/p>\n
