<\/p>\n
Rev. Harold G. Lashbrook,<\/strong> 93, Colfax, entered peacefully into his heavenly home in the arms of Jesus on Friday, May 27, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.\u00a0 Born September 20, 1928, in Darlington, Indiana, he was one of twelve children of Glen and Nellie (Alexander) Lashbrook.<\/p>\n
On April 16, 1960, Harold married the love of his life, Marjory Gast, in Mattoon, Illinois, and they shared 62 wonderful years together.<\/p>\n
Harold served in the U.S. Army as a PFC during the Korean War from 1952-1953.\u00a0 Over the course of his working career, he was a truck driver, working at the Colfax Elevator, Peet\u2019s Feed, Shoestring and Piemonte Foods, where he retired in 1990.\u00a0 Harold was a devoted Christian man and loved his Lord more than life.\u00a0 He was a member of Colfax Wesleyan Church.\u00a0 He loved to read his Bible, traveling and sightseeing, playing games, doing word search puzzles, and having family gatherings with his children and grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Along with his loving wife, Harold is survived by their children, Harold D. (Diana) Lashbrook of SC, Sherry (Dave) Hall of \u00a0WA, Harold L. (Kathy) Lashbrook of Frankfort, Dennis (Tammy) Lashbrook of Frankfort, Rick (Judy) Lashbrook of Frankfort, Tina (Larry) Wilkinson of Colfax, and Katrina (Tim) Spears of Frankfort; two sisters, Wilma Hill and Anna Mae (Bob) Belcher, both of Florida; one brother, Raymond (Mary) Lashbrook of Florida; sister-in-law, Geneva Lashbrook of Frankfort; sons-in-law, Raymond Disinger of Moran and Tony Marcum of Kokomo; 28 grandchildren; over 70 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.\u00a0 He is also survived by his extended family and friends.\u00a0 He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.<\/p>\n
Preceding Harold in death is his parents; two daughters, Diana \u201cDiner\u201d Disinger and Debra \u201cDebbie\u201d Marcum; two grandsons, Nathan and Ian Marcum; one great granddaughter, Trisha Wilkinson; four brothers and four sisters.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm at Colfax Wesleyan Church. \u00a0Vickie Emberton will officiate. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery with military rites provided by the Clinton County Honor Guard.\u00a0 \u00a0Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is assisting with the arrangements.\u00a0 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Harold\u2019s name may be given to Colfax Wesleyan Church.\u00a0 Messages of condolence may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
