Maurice \u201cMaury\u201d Oglesby, 86, of Rossville,<\/strong> passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at IU Health Methodist in Indianapolis.\u00a0 He was born April 22, 1938, in Moran to Maurice and Bernice (Weida) Oglesby.\u00a0 He married Diane Virgil on October 19, 1962, and she survives.<\/p>\n
Maury was a 1956 graduate of Rossville High School and earned a degree from Purdue University in 1960.\u00a0 He served in the United States Army.\u00a0 He worked for 15 years as the General Manager for Mike Raisor Automotive Group and three years for Ray Rudd Automotive.\u00a0 He was the owner of HB Ham for 10 years.\u00a0 Maury was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church, Beard Masonic Lodge and Rossville Lions Club.\u00a0 He enjoyed golfing, watching Colts football, Purdue sports, Chicago Cubs Baseball, and antiquing.<\/p>\n
Along with his wife of 62 years, Maury is survived by his children, Douglas Oglesby and Beth Reis.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his parents.<\/p>\n
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 1pm until the time of the memorial service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville.\u00a0 Pastor Angie Hufford will officiate.\u00a0 Memorial contributions may be made in Maury\u2019s honor to the Best Friends Animal Society or Indianapolis Animal Care Services.\u00a0 Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
