Kathleen Michael, 99, of Rossville,<\/strong> passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Wesley Manor.\u00a0 She was born May 4, 1925, in Frankfort to Lore and Edith (Beisel) Dorsey.\u00a0 She married Bernard E. Michael on February 27, 1942.\u00a0 He preceded her in death on May 20, 2007.<\/p>\n
Kathleen was a 1943 graduate of Rossville High School.\u00a0 She worked at Clinton County Bank and Trust, Summit Bank and NBD before her retirement.\u00a0 She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Church and the Women\u2019s Group Union, and Owen Township Homemakers.\u00a0 She enjoyed boating, fishing, crafting, sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking, and doing crossword puzzles and word searches.\u00a0 She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor.\u00a0 She loved her family above all things and enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Kathleen is survived by her son, Craig (Kathy) Michael; daughter-in-law, Linda Michael; sister-in-law, Florence Dorsey; grandchildren, Dan (Margie) Michael, Michele (Joe) Enlow, Stephanie (Andy) Schultz, Brent (Nicole) Michael, Joshua Michael, Matthew (Rachel) Michael, and Lucas (Danielle) Michael; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Mark Michael and Barry Michael; brothers, Don and Bruce Byron Dorsey; and a sister, Eileen Stewart.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, from 1pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville.\u00a0 Pastor Donna Enersen will officiate, and burial will follow at Kilmore Cemetery.\u00a0 Memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen\u2019s honor to Pleasant Hill Church.\u00a0 Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
