John Alan \u201cAl\u201d McDaniel, 70, of Michigantown,<\/strong> passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024.\u00a0 He was born November 4, 1954, in Frankfort to Forrest and Mary Florence (Perkins) McDaniel, Sr.<\/p>\n
Al was a graduate of Clinton Prairie High School, class of 1972.\u00a0 He worked for several factories, and then was self-employed.\u00a0 He was a member of the Frankfort Eagles Lodge #976.\u00a0 He enjoyed playing poker, golfing, listening to music and playing on his guitar, traveling, and stand-up comedy, especially Dave Chappelle.\u00a0 While he was a strong man and a warrior, he was light-hearted and loved having fun and cracking jokes with his friends.\u00a0 Above all he was a family man and loved supporting his children and making memories when they could.<\/p>\n
Al is survived by his children, Paige (Ahmani Colston) McDaniel, Chelsea McDaniel, Trey (Alyssa) McDaniel; siblings, James (Chris) McDaniel, Forrest McDaniel, Jr., Darrell McDaniel; four grandchildren, Bentley, Brinley, Winter, Clover; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dogs, Coronet and Cuda; and cat, Boogaloo<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Joe McDaniel; sister, Mary \u201cSissy\u201d McDaniel; and the mother of his children, Tracie Galvin.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held, Friday, January 3, 2025, from 3 to 6pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Following the visitation, people are welcome to join the family at the Eagles Lodge for food and fellowship.<\/strong> <\/em>Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com<\/p>\n
