The Frankfort Community Public Library has announced its upcoming new Bilingual Story Time beginning Jan. 25 as a program that includes stories, rhymes, songs and word lessons in both Spanish and English as well as related crafts and a light snack.<\/p>\n
The adventure will begin Saturday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. at the library, featuring award-winning books, such as “Con Pollo: A Bilingual Playtime Adventure” by Jimmy Fallon and Jennifer Lopoez, “Que Aburrido!” by Michael Ian Black and “Nosotros Means Us” by Paloma Valdivia.<\/p>\n
Bilingual Story Time is a project of Alexandra Zavala, a student intern through the Wildcat Creek Career Cooperative. Zavala said that the purpose of Bilingual Story Time is \u201cto develop a program that welcomes bilingual families, shares the beauty and joy of the Spanish language, and teaches children new words. The library strives to be an inclusive environment for all.\u201d<\/p>\n
