The Indiana Department of Health has announced its Trauma-Informed Nutrition, TINS, Security training that opened in February with virtual training sessions beginning March 3.<\/p>\n

The TINS training is intended to introduce participants to a trauma-informed approach to nutrition security, allowing participants to explore the meaning of food in their lives and the potential impacts of adversity on the relationship between individuals, communities and their access to and relationship with food.<\/p>\n

The training will also outline trauma-informed strategies for creating person and community-centered programs and interventions. The training is held in partnership between the Indiana Department of Health and Leah’s Pantry.<\/p>\n
