Bob J. Pierce, 96, a former Frankfort resident, died at 9:44 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at his home in Speedway, Ind.\u00a0 He was born December 30, 1921 in Frankfort, Ind. to Roy I. & Elma (Binkley) Pierce.\u00a0 He married Eloise Volz on November 8, 1943 and she preceded him in death on September 18, 2009.\u00a0Bob was a 1941 graduate of Frankfort High School and attended International Business College in Fort Wayne from 1941-1942.\u00a0 A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp from 1942-1945, he served in the South Pacific, attaining the rank of Master Sargent.\u00a0 Bob was a personnel manager for Allison Division of General Motors Corp., retiring in November of 1980. He was an active member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church and\u00a0a former member of the school board in Speedway, Ind.\u00a0 Bob enjoyed golf, traveling, making stain glass and always had a dog.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bob is survived by:\u00a0\u00a0Daughter:\u00a0 Carole A. Pierce of Palo Alto, Cal.,\u00a02 Sons:\u00a0 Michael K. (Diane) Pierce of Avon, Ind.,\u00a0Daniel (Jill) Pierce of Milwaukee, Wis.,\u00a0<\/span>2 Grandchildren:\u00a0 Jessica (Eugene) Lee of Redwood City, Cal. and Christopher (Evelyn) Pierce of Carmel, Ind.\u00a0In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alison Pierce<\/p>\n

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan Speedway Chapel, 2950 N.
