YMCA Having Aquatics Center Fundraiser on February 29

The Clinton County Family YMCA is having an Aquatics Center Fundraiser on Saturday, February 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Over the last few years our pool has struggled to operate efficiently. This has included unexpected expenses, closures, and program cancellations. We are excited for the opportunity to improve this amenity for the health and wellness of our community.

The ‘Y’ has a very exciting opportunity to raise $44,000 for our Aquatics Center. The Community Foundation of Clinton County has awarded the ‘Y’ a $44,000 grant to replace the pool’s filtration system. This grant is contingent upon the ‘Y’ matching the $44,000 they have allocated for the project by March 31.

To put things into perspective, it would only take:

Þ 44 people to donate $1,000 to reach $44k

Þ Or 88 people to donate $500 to reach $44k

Þ Or 176 people to donate $250 to reach $44k

Þ Or 352 people to donate $125 to reach $44k

What better way to celebrate Leap Day than host a Leap In Aquathon to save the ‘Y’ pool. The Community Foundation of Clinton County has provided us with an opportunity to make a significant investment in our facility-we need your help! This is the opportunity for us to come together as a community to raise funds to create a sustainable Aquatics Center for the future of the ‘Y’.

Event details are as follows: Join the ‘Y’ for two hours of water dance fitness (similar to Aqua Zumba) with Maria with before and after strength, cardio, and stretching with some of our other water instructors. This event will include giveaways, refreshments, and some additional surprises. Fee is $25 and includes two raffle entries.
