2018 Community Thanksgiving Dinner

By Aaron Congleton

The Community Thanksgiving Meal serves roughly 650 people. Most people think the meal is for those whom are less fortunate but in reality, the meal is served to any member of our community. The goal is for no one to eat alone on a holiday.

The meal would not be possible without donations from our community. Local businesses assist with ordering, food preparation, and supplies. More importantly, citizens donated in small ways that added up to a big part of the meal.

One hundred and twenty community members gathered together to execute the meal. Preparation begins the day before the actual meal with cutting pies, packaging applesauce, etc.

The committee whom oversees the meal is grateful to the support of our community. None of this would be possible without donations, supplies, and volunteering and for this, we are thankful.
