Jerry Creasy Honored at Courthouse Square Wednesday

U.S. Army Corporal Jerry N. Creasy was honored Wednesday on the courthouse square in downtown Frankfort. Creasy was killed in action on August 19, 1969.

Creasy had started his duty in Vietnam on June 20, 1969. He was killed one day short of two months after arriving in the country at Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam, from multiple fragment wounds. He was a resident of Hillisburg.

Honoring him was Staff Sergeant Jessie Lennon of the Indiana National Guard, Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets and Clinton County Veterans Officer Joe Root.

 

A bouquet of flowers was placed on the courthouse square bench bearing Creasy’s name.
