Five members of the Frankfort High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams qualified for regional competition in Saturday’s sectional at West Lafayette.
Members of the boys’ team who qualified are Daniel Pritchett, Josue Bautista Ventura and Angel Perez. The girls will be represented by Carina Alanis and Alexis Reed-Gill. The event will be held at West Lafayette. The girls’ race starts at 10:30 a.m., while the boys begin at 11:15 a.m.
Clinton Prairie’s Tony Perez and Neven Chasteen both qualified as an individual for the regional by finishing 17th and 37th, respectively. The top 10 individuals from non-qualifying teams go to the regional.
Clinton Prairie’s Zoe Beard and Bella Creasy also qualified for the regional as did Samantha Hadaway of Clinton Central.
Also, both the boys’ and girls’ teams from Rossville qualified for regional action at West Lafayette next Saturday.
