2nd Annual Jack O Lantern Jamboree Brings Out A Large Crowd

Story contributor Tammy Danner,
An incredible evening for the citizens of Clinton County that attended the 2nd Annual Jack O Lantern Jamboree on October 26. 2019. An estimated 2500 people braved the wind and rain to get out and support F.U.N. (Frankfort’s Unified Neighborhoods) F.U.N. started watching the weather forecast, wanting to insure that they could still have a great outcome with safety in mind they contacted the Clinton County Fairgrounds and ask to have Clinton Hall to put the Trunk and Treaters in and they graciously said absolutely. Unfortunately, they had to cancel a few of the planned outside events, However, those that attended did not seem to miss them. We started out by judging all the people that came out and decorated a table with their spooky decorations. After that “TABLE AND TREATS “began with vendors giving out pumpkin’s, faces for the pumpkin’s, popcorn, and cotton candy, There was a photo booth and music was provided. Then they went over to the Edward Jones’s building to enjoy FREE hot dogs, chips, and drinks. There was also a cake walk, A dance put on by the ADDAMS Girls, and a costume contest of all ages, With all the wonderful costumes it was very difficult for WILO to choose a winner. After the ‘TABLE AND TREATS “ended in the Clinton Hall F.U.N added a last minute Pinata event. Tammy Danner added that they heard so many Thank You’s, you guys rock, you all nailed it, can’t wait till next year, our children loved it , but the best part was all the smiles that we saw on the children’s faces and the awesome costumes for that is what it is all about.
The F.U.N Group would like to thank the many sponsors, vendors and volunteers that made this all possible along with the 2500 people that came out to support our community, for without all of you this event would not have been possible.
We are putting UNITY back into COMMUNITY one event at a time. So, remember we can all “BE THE CHANGE.
Erick Dircks also added much to the event with his many photographs and three videos for this event. you can click the links below for photographs and watch the videos also, Be sure to watch all three videos.
