This was the 32 annual Strawberry Festival since the senior center began in the early 70’s. At first the strawberry festival was created for our senior citizens in Clinton county to get together and enjoy each other’s fellowship. The very first gathering involved around 30 people eating cake,strawberries, and ice cream. Now it has turned into their major fundraiser for the center. The funds are used to help sustain the programs and support the seniors in Clinton county. Now the Strawberry Festival is serving around 500 people. The Senior Center feels lucky to get great support from the community in the form of sponsors and donations and it is a day to celebrate our awesome community.
