416 Fish Caught At Lagoons Saturday In Cub Scout Fishing Derby

Not much can top the excitement of catching your first fish.  Several community volunteers helping in the Cub Scout program combined efforts with the Cub Scouts to see to it that 416 fish were caught at the Frankfort Lagoons Saturday.

On Saturday, September 15th, the Sugar Creek District held its annual Cub Scout Fishing Derby at the Frankfort Lagoons.

61 Cub Scouts from 8 different packs fished with their adult partners to catch a combined total of 416 fish! The longest fish caught was 14 inches!

Trophies were awarded at each den level for a scavenger hunt, the Most fish caught (59 by one Scout!), Largest Bluegill, Largest Catfish (none were caught this year) and Largest Other fish. No turtles were caught this year.
